Hundreds of Second Amendment activists, scholars, legal experts, policy leaders and podcasters will gather this weekend in Salt Lake City for the 40th annual Gun Rights Policy Conference, a milestone event which will see representatives from virtually every major gun rights group in the nation in the same room.
The Sept. 26-28 conference is co-sponsored by the Second Amendment Foundation (SAF) and the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms (CCRKBA). It will be held at the Salt Lake Marriott Downtown at City Creek. Registration for this free event is still possible at the GRPC website.
In conjunction with GRPC, this year’s AMM-Con Second Amendment media workshop will be held Friday at the Marriott Downtown. This event brings together podcasters, bloggers, YouTube creators and others involved in “new media” efforts for a full day of discussion wrapped around the principle that “we must hold ourselves and others in the gun world to a higher standard than that of the local and national media.”
Typically, the AMM-Con conference is exclusive to media members only, but organizers recognize that everyone can help spread the message.
Meanwhile, the GRPC Planning Committee has announced the final agenda. This year’s keynote speaker is special operations veteran Christian Craighead, who will discuss the importance of gun ownership not only for self- defense, but to defend other innocent lives. He will also offer details of his heroic actions during the 2019 Nairobi hostage incident along with his journey to become an American citizen. Visit the GRPC speaker page to see a full list of our more than 30 confirmed presenters.
GRPC 2025 will be also emceed by Mark Walters, who was named one of TALKERS magazine’s top 100 most important radio hosts in the nation. Walters is host of two syndicated radio programs – Armed American Radio and Armed American Radio’s Daily Defense Hour – and is a member of CCRKBA’s Board of Directors.
For those who can’t make the event in-person, the Saturday and Sunday GRPC 2025 sessions will be livestreamed beginning at 8 a.m. (MST) on Saturday and 9 a.m. (MST) on Sunday. The links will also be sent via SAF’s email newsletter and posted to the organization’s social media channels.
GRPC is sponsored by Silencer Shop, GrabAGun, Vortex, Taurus, Trijicon, Volquartsen, 2A Bourbon, CZ USA, AZFirearms Auctions, U.S. Law Shield and Attorneys On Retainer.
