As the Republican presidential candidates head to NH for the first-in-the-nation primary, Ted Cruz has just launched a new ad that will surely irk rival Donald Trump.
The Texas senator brilliantly uses Jimmy Carter’s own words to slam Trump, as the former president says before the British Parliament that he would choose Trump over Cruz because the billionaire businessmen “has proven already that he is completely malleable” and doesn’t seem to have any “fixed opinions” that he would take to the White House.
In contrast, Carter says Cruz is “not malleable”, adding he has “far right-wing policies, in my opinion, that he would pursue aggressively.”
Cruz — playing to the conservative NH base — paints a picture of The Donald as one not to be trusted by Republicans, while offering up his own conservative credibility as seen through the eyes of the ultra-liberal Carter.
