One of the biggest wishes for the holidays is that lawmakers forge legislation that ultimately punishes convicted Christmas gift thieves, with life in prison or the death penalty.
In the annual narrative that spikes the heart rate and gets the blood boiling, a story hits the news cycle that the hopes and dreams of struggling family are ultimately dashed by the selfless and pathological acts of scumbags united. In the case of an Oklahoma family, the 2017 Christmas stretch run, turned into horrific emotional letdown, when the family left their home for a mere three hours Sunday. KTUL-TV reports that when they returned after finishing their errands, the presents were literally gone from under tree. In addition to the thirty or so wrapped gifts that were burgled, the perps also stole firearms, cash, and even a wedding ring. To combat package thefts, some innovative residents around the US have developed exploding parcels to deter crime.
While local authorities have no current leads in bringing the trash heaps of society to justice, members of the surrounding community have stepped their game up in ensuring that the couple and three children are able to salvage a family Christmas, as donations have filtered in. Benevolent individuals have even set-up a GoFund Me account for the family.
For that special crook or group of crooks on the run, may your Holidays be filled with paranoia and fright and without joy, as you flee from the law, you heartless wretches.
