As the next “ice age” morphed into “climate change”, which the powers that be reprehensibly pivoted to “global warming”, which has since become the hippy trendy “climate crises”, the trillion dollar New Green Deal industry of wind farms, solar panels and Tesla self-driving vehicles is racked by inefficiency and the obliviousness to thermodynamics.
Amid the noise of hopes, dreams and delusions galvanized through a survey exploring the shadowy mystic of the Easter Island statue builders, there are exceptions to the rule empirical propaganda where certain individuals extrapolate common sense. Reacting to the radicalized and reactionary crass thrill ride of environmentalism, at least one scientist is holding colleagues accountable for their procedural nonsense.
Climatologist Judith Curry of Georgia Tech recently lambasted her associates chasing fame and fortune rather than truth and reality. The veteran climatologist described the pursuit of an agenda by Al Gore’s ilk as “overwhelming scientific consensus” in controversial topics that cannot be proven, yet are pawned as fact to the public leading to widespread cognitive dissonance and the existence of paranoid younger generations comprised of multitudinous Greta Thunberg’s.
Curry’s personal experiences included being “wined and dined” by supporters of man-made climate change hypothesis in lame attempts to influence the career researcher to forward their false narrative. According to an article published in American Insider, the scientist was only slightly unfavorable in decadently criticizing notable scholars forcing mistruths upon society, and citing regular indiscretions committed behind the veil of hypocrisy. “Ugly things,” remarked Curry. “Avoiding Freedom of Information Act requests. Trying to get journal editors fired.”
While her testimony is damning and alarming in its own right to pseud0-intellectuals, Curry also took a shot at the United Nations and insinuated that the organization is merely a front for corrupt bureaucrats, evidence that is more concrete than the periodic lapses in thematic data that occurs in each mind-numbing 1000 page reports shaming drillers of fossil fuels and heavy manufacturing.
Similar to the iconic Atmospheric Sciences professor Cliff Mass, who is an ally of reason and investigation in not jumping to visceral conclusions for the sake of personal profit and politics, Curry’s opinions and perspectives are not popular within the research community or with the liberal mainstream press.
Fortunately, a handful of open-minded platforms operate where information is authentically evaluated in a disinterested and unbiased method and the Curry’s and Mass’s of the planet are provided a stage in which to assuage the hysteria propagated by unethical and arrogant demagogues. However, for every reasonably conscientious and judicious scientist, a handful of detractors emerge out of the catacombs, as social media influencers destroy the remaining shreds of critical thinking skills and find and replace theory with emotion carried and embraced from the school yard bereft of knowledge or expertise. The UN’s heavily subsidized program to encourage floating trans-Atlantic bicycles looks good on paper, yet the alarmists will still not hesitate to fly first class in the friendly skies of a conjured unicorn dream world.
