An Ohio pastor told President Trump Wednesday that he has spoken to Chicago gang leaders who want to work with Trump to reduce the “body count” in the city. This would be a great place to start as strict gun-control laws are leaving citizens defenseless agianst the gang-related shootings that make up the majority of the city’s problem.

As the city tightens gun-control laws crime skyrockets and the death toll is topping Afghanistan.

According to: foxnews.com:

Dr. Darrell Scott, a pastor of New Spirit Revival Center in Ohio, said at an African American History Month meeting at the White House that he has been contacted by “some of the top gang thugs in Chicago for a sit-down.”

The “sit-down” may just be between Scott and the gang leaders, but the pastor made clear they want to “work with” the administration to curb the violence in the city. He went on to say of Trump:

“They respect you. They believe in what you’re doing,”

“It’s a great idea because Chicago is totally out of control,” Trump said.

Trump has frequently drawn attention to the violent crime in Chicago and other big cities, warning on Twitter he could “send in the Feds” if the city doesn’t stop the bloodshed. His inauguration address referred to “carnage” in American cities.

Scott said he is planning on going to Chicago and the gang members had told him that “they’re gonna commit that if they lower that body count, we’ll come in and we’ll do some social programs.”

He said the gang members he spoke to didn’t believe in the Obama administration.

“They reached out to me. They want to work with this administration. They didn’t believe in the prior administration, they told me this out of their mouths.”

“I love that,” Trump said.

Trump also said, “we’re gonna have to do something about Chicago because what’s happening in Chicago should not be happening in this country.”
