Tell-Tale Signs- The Ongoing Michigan Debacle

November 1, 2023 By Kennedy Guse

The axiom for embattled public figures goes something like this… “The diabolical are not likeable, unless they are a Simpson’s character (see Mr. Burns and Sideshow Bob (not the current Washington state Attorney General who will most-likely be the next extremist liberal governor in a state of perpetual disarray), or a tyrant carefree and dawning a Hawaiian shirt during an execution by fired squad of a political adversary.”

Also known as the Gretchen Whitmer principle, the entire territory of Michigan is now on threat level Tango of possible saturation of ideological narcissism spanning the entire array of industries, as the career politician is still convinced that a sign declaring a “gun-free” zone will stop and make a person with bad intentions think before they spray bullets into the legislative chambers.

It’s all about the signs.

Demagogue Whitmer and Michigan University head football coach Jim Harbaugh are now joined at the hippest of the hip in refining the art of identifying signs and stealing the essence of the covert pantomime for both their own amusement and as a survival measure in the high stakes game of subsisting in the lucrative career path of self-proclaimed public servants. In the wake of an NCAA investigation as to the unlikely atmospheric success of the Wolverine gridiron squad, and Whitmer’s improbable ability to push progressive measures through the legislative grind in a region where the differences between rural and urban are profound, the focus at least for the short-term is now off of the People’s Republic of California radar, as advocates for reason have the Michigan ecosystem in their crosshairs. When it comes to public safety, enablement is the crux to societal health.

While imposing severe firearms on state residents that will ultimately fall upon the burden of the tax-payer, Governor Whitmer has forged a template of subversion that is being unmasked by those probing Harbaugh’s blatant allegations of implementing extreme magnitudes of cheating to win at all costs. At least the unlikely pair is engaged in virtue signaling brandished from both sides of the aisle.

As the NCAA has a lengthy list of code pertaining to preventing the advanced scouting of opponents, apparently, the football program contracted with individuals not employed by the university to gain a competitive advantage in stealing signs. According to documentation, this involved purchasing game tickets for “indirect spies” disguised as fans at future opponent’s venues. These “superficial” indiscretions are an indication that organizations evolving into hive minds from an individual and innovative standpoint will cease at nothing to push for victory of all costs in absence of consequences. While not burgling signs, Whitmer is utilizing her political networking of lobbyists and resources to tilt the playing field on law-abiding citizens, either way, the unfair circumstances are ultimately a losing proposal.

The growing mountain of evidence that continues to bury the oblivious and insidious mechanism of Michigan football under an avalanche of indictment at a disturbing and logarithmic rate, and the forgettable execution of governmental procedures by a career politician plagues a forgettable duality of administrators failing epically in their separate, yet subsequent duties of responsibility.

As Whitmer is complicit in exploiting election data derived from the lucrative funding of special interests, Harbaugh regularly illustrates the unethical in influencing results from non-linear circumstances and extrapolating evidence fueling predicative models. His reprehensible behavior is already is sparking debate in the NCAA realm about colleges adopting the NFL helmet wireless speaker technology linking the quarterback to the assistant coaches in the booth. If signs evolve into digital communications tech, what is the end-game in a race for  superiority that could involve hacking, complex Enigma-level coding, and other destructive side-effects.

While Harbaugh’s system for winning is not outside the realm of the current confines of the alleged sordid practices of other head coaches practicing their own methods of cheating, the light-speed jump past simply hijacking hand signals indicates a serious ingrained issue within the infrastructure of how wins and losses are manifested as two teams furnished with equal circumstances prepare for a Saturday battle, yet endure an abomination.

The ceremony of pilfering signs has been an historic and entertaining compartment of athletics throughout the history and construct of the game, contributing to the randomness and priceless and endearing chaos dictating the ebb and flow of collisions and unpredictable interactions. While the formula and constraints of athletics at least offers the latitude of scheming and plotting, politics should at least be a more rigid platform for conformity and order, the the livelihood of constituents hangs in the balance.

On one of the spectrum Whitmer exists in universe bounded by procedure, yet dictated by chaos, where Harbaugh may or may not succumb to the ideals and ethics. In both examples, the related behavior of the offending parties dictates the unsettling present unveiling of the Information Age, and also the hints at the plausibility of an ominous future, unless vigilance is practiced in battling chaos in the vacuum of common sense.

Sports or politics, technological empathy is contingent on the end-user in a world where rules are being replaced by convenience and the agenda at hand.
