The liberal rag of the Seattle Times newspaper once upon a time featured an editorial from a local author where the writer was given an undeserved platform between consuming rounds at the local pub making critical comments in reference to her views on society and citing zero empirical data in the process of attempting to hijack truth.
While serving jury duty, the person noted that there is an apparent lack of diversity among those serving a civic capacity citing the dearth of African Americans among the panel as the main theme of the editorial. Her criticism was harshly ridiculed and admonished, and showed her shortcomings and lack of a competent understanding of basic statistics and population demographics through the outlandish diatribe. She simply could not process that jury selection is based off of the census and that black people in the Puget Sound region simply compile a low representation based on the percentage of total population.
Fast forward to the new world order of women’s professional basketball and an apologist mindset in players calling for more African American coaches on the proverbial bench. The hypocrisy is decadent and rhetorically abundant.
Why not include Asian Americans, Hispanics, or assorted refugees in the conversation, as the WNBA morphed into an international and multicultural franchise?
All-star caliber professional basketball player Paige Bueckers received honorable mention on the rankings of trending headlines when she called for and demanded that the percentage of Black head coaches be increased in her league for the alleged sake of humanity. The former All-American and top draft pick resorted the visceral in demanding change that is not necessarily for the betterment of humanity.
“So I understand how amazing they are and how they should get the same equal opportunity as a white woman, as a white man to be an important piece of this league,” Bueckers stated during an interview.
While the template for political correctness continues to be deployed in alarming frequency, the more shocking and disconcerting narrative is that logic and mathematics are dying a slow death captured by snippets of information from the younger generations that is surrounded by an abundance of context. There is no ambiguity to the obliviousness displayed from two generational cycles of youth and young adults groomed through the indifference of indignant influencers fertilizing a fervent and tainted crop of propaganda.
Society is once again doomed by the presence of an unabashedly naive mouthpiece of political correctness in rhetoric spilling over from the should be confines of the arena.
