City Traffic Lights Celebrate “The Communist Manifesto”

March 20, 2018 By Conn Williamson

The Germans sure know how to throw a birthday party.

In the city of Trier, Germany, birthplace of Karl Marx, motorists and pedestrians are now greeted by a pixelated version of the philosopher at a main city intersection. In an unbelievable development confirmed by the BBC, (in Merkle’s Germany, the sky is the the limit for hypocrisy) drivers and walkers now have to face the father of communism in green, or a very appropriate red form, as the world just cannot seem to wrench itself free from his influence or the cutting irony. The lights were erected in celebration of the political martyr’s 200th birthday. In a controversial decision that will no doubt lead to a heightened frequency of traffic accidents as pedestrians and drivers wrestle for the ultimate selfie pose, the city plans to install an additional set of commie signals, near his former home. (Will accident victims at the intersection be added to the causality total of the hundreds of millions that Marx’s teaching are directly responsible for?) Of course the cherry on top of the caustic sundae is that the city will accept a sculpture of Marx as a gift from the Chinese government. Can we get some William Z. Foster ornaments for the city Christmas tree this Winter?

There is no indication of how much the novelty lights cost the taxpayer, nor should there be any discussion on the subject of a free market economy, according to the ideology of Marx. As the German populace continues to attempt hazardous cultural crossings through dangerous ideological intersections, there is no turning back.
