Gun Rights Group Updates ‘Don’t Feed Them’ Anti-Gun Business List

The Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms updated its list of anti-gun businesses and their CEOs Friday, adding Gucci to a roster totaling nearly 200 names, and there is plenty of room for more.

CCRKBA Chairman Alan Gottlieb has made it plain this is neither a publicity stunt nor is it a call to boycott.

“We encourage people buy products from companies they can count on to not support efforts aimed at curtailing constitutional rights,” Gottlieb explained. “By providing this information, we hope gun owning consumers are making reasonable decisions about which businesses to patronize. This might convince some businesses to re-think their core values.”

Further expanding on this philosophical approach, he added, “Businesses and the people who own them can support whatever kind of philosophy they want, and gun owning consumers can likewise not spend any money with those firms. Let the marketplace decide.”

CCRKBA first prominently posted this list in July 2020. It’s accessible from CCRKBA’s main page on the Internet.

There are some prominent names on the list including Bank of America, Dick’s Sporting Goods, AMC Theaters, the Disney Company, GEICO insurance, Hallmark, Hard Rock Café, Levi Strauss, Southwest Bell, Progressive Insurance and Paypal.

“When we started this project last year,” Gottlieb recalled, “we were actually surprised, and in some cases disappointed, at some of the businesses we added to the list. We discovered several brand name businesses and corporate leaders who evidently have a nefarious agenda to limit gun rights. Their current and potential patrons should have the knowledge of what their hard earned dollars are actually funding.”

Gucci wound up on the list this week because it gave $500,000 to the anti-gun March for Our Lives.

Another likely candidate for listing on CCRKBA’s “Don’t Feed Them” list is the newly-founded Good Pillow, launched by anti-gun activist David Hogg and entrepreneur William LeGate. The pillow company was founded to compete with Mike Lindell’s My Pillow because Lindell is a strong supporter of Donald Trump.

Hogg was one of the student founders of the March for Our Lives effort following the mass shooting at Florida’s Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in February 2018.
