King Of The Hill- Facebook Continues The Costly Game Of Meddling With Truth

October 22, 2019 By Conn Williamson

All indications are that CEO Imperial leader Mark Zuckerberg is now engaged in processing the noise surrounding the chaotic growth and repeated stagnant transgressions originated throughout the F***book ether. Rumors are flying that the naive leader of the biggest threat to democracy since Castro, has either hired a therapist or is courting a new mistress to offset a series of putrid and reckless decisions compromising the integrity of a deregulated internet and unleashing a parry of blows on the basic construct of society.

Zuckerberg may be late to the game, but has made a concerted effort pandering to Conservative politicians with all the subtlety of a sweater donning snarky 8th year poli sci major, in the aftermath of the privacy scandal marred by murmurs of anti-trust sanctions. However, the automated software bots and a new series of aggregators drowning the social media community with a blatant left-leaning perspective, and proliferating misinformation in league with KGB and North Korean subversive tactics, have yet to be informed of the phase shift taking place at the top and gradually trickling down with an air of disingenuous reason.

Survival off the fittest. Ensconced in lies.
The hell fires of eternal damnation omnipresent in reckless selfishness.

As the galaxy’s most prominent online community faces relentless scrutiny and is plagued with innumerable legal issues, the company has gone crack addict desperation mode in need of a fix. While 47 chest bumping attorneys from all points in the union mobilize and try to make sense of the rat’s nest left in aftermath zero accountability and lackluster policy, F***book boasts about redefining news. The maddening captain obvious reoccurring theme is the audacity of the deliberately programmed social network automated populating site news channels with propaganda which is customized from the hijacking of user data. The idea that an account holder is given access to fair and balanced information is so far-fetched, especially with the insidious presence of a liberal bias, that disruptive elements of Twitter are claiming neutrality in comparison, as politicized tweets continue their own assault on accuracy and decency. Hopefully, the frenzied army of lawyers can help sort this nasty mess out. At least the visual of a group of militant and scowling attorneys swinging brief cases at server towers brings a temporary smile.

Disturbingly, the inability of F***book to effectively manage the chaos of a platform that is clearly out of control, and identify that the source code reflects a singular ideology and prevents a forum conducive to free thought, plagues the immediate future of the information age. Thanks to the incompetence of the world’s most prominent miscreant, tax payers are merely spectators for a long and drawn out wasteful legal battle, pitting corporate dynamics against bureaucracy. This is the type of leadership expected from an individual who beat Trump at the finishing line in constructing a gaudy retaining wall surrounding his estate.

In a costly fight with billions of dollars recklessly strewn throughout courtrooms and government chambers, nobody is a winner. But that headline is unable to avoid the filtering process burying content beneath a sea of irrelevant fluff with the new F***book news app, where every picosecond Bernie Sanders is a benevolent and tolerant capitalist, and gender pronouns dissipate into the lonely heavens. Gone are the days of “if it leads, it bleeds”, as the classic mantra of the mainstream press adopted and morphed by social media now states “if you disagree, you are wrong, and it’s gone”.

Fortunately, as the Walmart of social networking endures periodic hiccups that threaten the operating integrity of the entire platform moderating efforts targeting specific individuals and organizations, transform into equal opportunity witch hunts. With the shear amount of infrastructure devoted to the digital empire, the left hand does not always know what the right hand is doing, and the conflicting result creates a potentially unbearable scenario, which requires intervention in building a basic set of standards. While government interference is not a solution, drafting enforceable policy in holding a publicly traded private entity accountable for questionable actions, is a sensible response. Especially when a percentage of consumers view social media has a portal for interaction, news, and fact.

The simple fix to the insane F***book conundrum is to log off forever. But within the instant gratification 15-second smartphone news cycle of hell, “forever” is absent from the shimmering futuristic vernacular.
