LA Stands For Murphy’s Law

December 13, 2022 By Conn Williamson

WWF (WWE) legend Kurt Angle reemerged on Elon Musk’s shimmering new pixilated toy, as the former professional wrestler authored a diatribe worthy of an in-ring rant with the essence of humor, yet saturated by a crudeness that is endearing to legions of international fans.

Apparently, the Los Angeles City Council has infused elements of Vince McMahon’s edgy brand into daily operations, as racist minority elected officials have shown the ability to escalate a community holiday gift event at city hall to an extravaganza of toxic megalomania featuring elements of hate, violence, and hypocrisy. The growing chasm internally among those representing various factions is worth the price of admission for an imagined fanbase, yet a disconcerting illustration of just how discombobulate and gonzo politics have become in democratically-controlled cities. The bastions of Socialism adhere to Murphy’s First Law lowlighted by LA, as “Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong”. Unfortunately for law-abiding citizens, this means a heavy dystopian dosage of an unsettling existence behind the prison walls of chaos.

In the aftermath of a disturbing recording released publicly from last year of a secret cadre meeting gone awry starring selected members of the governing body that transcends the nonsensical, and embraces corruption, a lesser of two evils narrative emerged as lawmaker Kevin de León was engaged in a recent violent confrontation with a radicalized community activist while playing the role of Santa for around 100 children. The much-maligned politician was apparently accosted by a group of protestors, including outspoken abolitionist and anti-police pundit Jason Reedy. Much to the shock of the kids and parents, de León and Reedy engaged in a minor brawl, after troops from the radicalized People’s City Council literally chased the long-standing politician around the room in a scene that rivaled a real-life Animal Farm sequence, squawking and baaing “racist” as any civility surrounding the event dissipated. The caveat to the madness is that this was de León’s first day back after taking a tw0-month hiatus in attempting to divorce himself from involvement in the scandalous meeting and subsequent calls for resignation from both colleagues and voters. The mob of shrieking activists in a confined space only adds to the surreal and bizarre political ecosystem that California can brand and package with an eclectic twist along with a warning shot to the rest of the nation as to the proliferation broken policy forwarded by raw emotion.

The 2021 audio multimedia featured a slew of racial slurs, including derogatory remarks directed at a fellow council member’s son, and intertwined with discussion about aggressively amending the borders of voting districts to give a heavy advantage to progressive candidates. The fallout from the recording leaked onto social media platform Reddit, included the resignation of council president Nury Martinez, and de León took taking his leave of absence, a move that actually appeared to backfire, as an incited public let their voices, and in the case of Reedy, fists be heard. Both participants in the melee filed separate police reports, and the coming weeks should be decadently eventful.

Reports leasing up to the fight indicate that as de León arrived and sat down in the council chambers, other elected officials exited the premises in a clear sign that the county wants him gone. Colleague Mike Bonin, who endured the humiliation and angst of having his 8-year-old child referred to in the aforementioned furtive gathering by Martinez as “that little monkey”, took to social media in the wake of the audio recording going viral, and demanded that de León immediately forfeit his position.

As the new world order of constant passive surveillance dictates that “someone is always recording everything”, the city hall incident of course was captured on a device and dispersed to the corporatized media. Ted Turner’s progeny of a propaganda network obtained the footage, and CNN aired the :35-second clip of the altercation, as the victim is allegedly further to the left, than the extremist de León. The gesture to broadcast the scrap, and framing Reedy as the victim, proves that cable news syndicate with tanking ratings will deliberately promote the more fringe belief system if a pair of democratic individuals appear in the story. While the cannibalism of leftists is gratifying, journalistic integrity is two decades removed from being nonexistent, a trend that with the ascension of social media leaves truth obsolete and exchanged for the superficial, shiny and glittery promoted by the Chinese trojan horse of TikTok.
