Trials And Tribulations- The Further Demise Of Digitization’s League Of Nations

June 11, 2024 By Conn Williamson

Nestled under the confines of the immense umbrella of Alphabet, Inc. (google), YouTube remains vulnerable to the pervious security net in battling against attrition and the Chinese-government-Communist party influenced TikTok. Similar to a bumblebee or juvenile bird ramming into a house window at lightspeed in showing purpose, though misguided, the platform has devolved from a how-to-guide/ segue to entertainment, as creating a weapon of mass destruction to ants and the Summer sun out a of pair of Henry Kissinger level reading glasses is buried by layers of streams from the entertainment industry and the former couch potato gig entrepreneur lottery ticket winner known as Mr. Beast.

Dealing with the unstable characteristics of a society preferring to view the Northern Lights and other memorable events through their front door cameras, and optimistic outlook on the future is not a viable mechanism in conjuring the nature of sanguine and the peripheral of contentment, a condition referred to as “dandy” by the societal types.

Amidst the dilapidated world of organic social interaction, where “ostriching” within a device “or two” has become normalized, YouTube is now the metaphorical exhibit of a dinosaur, and TickTok is slowly dissolving in the latter prehistoric eras until the next fad overtakes the masses of the younger generations unencumbered by the threat of mental stagnation and are susceptible to the rigors of time and entropy, in at least what encompasses the thriving collective hive mind, where intelligence and innovation perish.

The world is no longer observed through the simply evolutionary ladder of the instinctive and biological ocular circuit refined over the eons, as AI and the stratification of the synthetic process of vision dominating the sensory perception. Similar to gazing and pondering into mirrors facing each other, the infinitesimal dynamic of replication and innovation within the cavalcade of reflections is merely what is construed as progress in weighing the human condition against the instability of the contemporary ecosystem.

As society pivots towards the introverted, and what is construed as a safety device in combatting the daunting reputation of the unknown, community is confined to secular herds and groups of humanity tabulating a sum of groupthink, a disturbing phenomenon that is only negatively exacerbated by the existence of the behemoth social networks. While intellectual stagnation is not conducive to the generations facing the culmination of “Moore’s Law”, skepticism is understandable in defining the current predicament, while at the same time there is a universal failure to attain a viable skill set that supersedes a simple push of the button, or personified graceful sweep to the right or left on the wayward compass of softscreen.

Over the next few decades of the Information Age morphing into a syndicate for specified data over the paramour of personification, authenticity is a tonic best served in combatting apathy and endorsing the very fundamental concepts hinging on the future of what is defined as a functioning society.

The fast-food industry fostered the convenience and experience of the Big Mac and the collusion between Coke and Pepsi into an orgiastic fusion of unfettered consumerism and a sustainable business model. However, in the “near future shock” of cultural impediment nudged by the social media vendors, tutorials and quality content sits on the dusty bookshelves of a rarely visited antiquated archive, relevancy is reduced to wallowing and stumbling entity of indifference. The cowardly retreat of YouTube and other apps and websites into electronic purgatory is evidence that while the median IQ of society has taken a fateful leap off a 6,000-foot peak, Duct tape futures are looking up, and temporary solutions to serious problems continue to go viral, while imagination and ingenuity dies.
