As strong supporters of the Second Amendment and proponents of self-defense, we have faced blatant subversion and the adjustment to the truth and facts in misleading newspaper headlines. Take for instance this hypothetical situation. It is determined by police that the actions of a homeowner shooting an intruder in defending his family and his property were justifiable. A newspaper reporter who is responsible for the story and has a negative bias toward firearms, chooses to title the article, “Man killed by gun”, when journalistic integrity and accuracy call for a headline reading, “Man shoots alleged intruder in self-defense”.
This flawed practice fueled by agenda has been occurring for decades and we attempt to fight the battle on Keepandbeararms.com in sharing accurate news and information in reporting on the latest happenings in the world of self-defense.
Of course the modern process in building a customized truth, has been perfected by CNN in staging and propagating a vast majority of the “fake news” concept, which has become a major thorn in the side of accuracy and transparency. In the latest transgression committed by staff at Ted Turner’s pet media puppy turned monster, the network blatantly put a spin on the congressional baseball practice tragedy in attempting to conjure anti-firearm sentiment. The Federalist Papers website does a wonderful write-up of how the fine “journalists” at CNN chose to portray the aftermath of the shooting in labeling footage of mourning politicians in the middle of the baseball diamond as “members of the democratic team gather on the field for a prayer”. In reality, members of both parties participated in the prayer and shill reporter Jim Acosta was not thankfully not present.
The audacity of a self-proclaimed news outlet to take such measures in creating a false narrative is beyond reproach but will never reach the treasonous and disgusting depths of insubordination achieved by Tuner’s wife, Jane Fonda, in betraying and entire nation. Given time, however, the network is capable of forging its own incredulous atrocities on US soil.
