You Can Only Say What They Want You To Say- The Plight Of The Public Schools

May 19, 2017 By Conn Williamson

While the ominous PC monster is wreaking havoc in newsrooms across the nation, its progeny reigns in a habitat that possesses a dearth of luster, yet exists as the basis for societal engineering, the public school.

In the latest instance straight from the menacing jaws spawned by the insane culture of indoctrination and enablement, an elementary school student in Washington state was suspended for opinion and dialogue on the military capabilities of US global adversaries. According to a parent, their child was suspended for uttering something along the lines of, “North Korea is going to nuke us.” However, this is only part of the infuriating and head scratching narrative of subsequent events.

The apparent political commentary occurred on the school bus, amid the chaos and resistance of being confined to the shackles of the institution for the day. This is where it gets messy. Evidently, a student of Korean descent heard the comment and became ashamed and frightened. Upon arrival at school, the student demanded an audience with the principal and explained that Korea was going to “blow up” the US. Rather than simply diffusing the pupil’s angst by explaining the distinctions between the regimes of North and South Korea and that there are bad people in the world, the administrator facilitated a decisive and bureaucratic measures to demand and track down a culprit and employ disciplinary actions. The incident culminated in the offending student being identified and sent home for at least the day.

The disturbing theme surrounding this incident is the role of the school’s administrator in complicating and perverting what should have been a swift and painless teaching moment. Instead, society can champion yet another adult, who for the sake of diversity and the abstract goal of one-worldness, is willing to go to extreme and unbelievable lengths in forcefully denying the tyrannical, inhumane and potential threat to US soil of the North Korean government. The student, who made the claim of the North’s nuclear prowess and threat, was unceremoniously punished for stating a point of view that was not directed at any individual or culture. This is not a matter of a bonafide threat to the school, aggression, racism, or indecency. It is beyond politically correct. As the children of the school fall into the elementary age bracket, there certainly exists the reality of confusion going around the playground as to exactly why the kid was suspended. The tragedy is that the child will probably be reticent to express future opinions on the school bus or in the classroom. The reality is that in this brave new world of Orwellian horrors and Big Brother, the disturbing actions of the administrator are akin to an industrial grade application of Thought Police procedure. An infuriating side-note to the incident is that the parent had to be summoned from work to transport the student off of school property and lost a portion of wages for the day.

The precedent rearing its ugly and intolerable head, is that public school administrators have free reign in determining whether or not a simple act of speech by a student is punishable, without any fear of reprisal. With these subjective latitudes afforded to the school hierarchy, society is doomed to devolve into a menacing and mindless machine of servitude in lacking depth or thought. The audacity of certain public school servants lacking accountability in politicizing and tarnishing even the most remote interpretations of the First Amendment is incorrigible and damaging. With the incredible scope of time and money being wasted on constantly policing opinion and conversation, it is not surprising that the collective intelligence in society continues to dwindle and “fake news” dominates the information superhighways.

The parent should hire a lawyer.
