Goose, Goose, Duck? Teenager Encounters Surly Gander

A golf course is a haven for a diversity of wildlife (just ask the drink cart girl) as well as an array critters, due to the prevalence of turf, trees and an obvious abundance of adult beverages.

However, at times the harmonious balance of a serene round at the local club is interrupted by an act of indiscretion involving some version of cheating, or in this case a father goose, dutifully protecting a pregnant mate. A picture is worth a thousand words or laughs, and thankfully the fleeing high school golfer briefly sidetracked from match-play by the act of self-defense, and the boss Canadian gander were left physically unscathed in the wake of this raw encounter in the wilds, that Sir David Attenborough would be proud to document for PBS. This is not the first or last instance, where a differing biological species piques the collective curiosity in directly influencing outcome of the score card.

The unnamed goose is framed brilliantly and captured for eternity by a skillful photographer, in presiding over the Michigan teenager and representing the complete legal trio of judge, jury and attorney in a swift and eloquent application of justice. Golf Digest features the modern reality show plight of how the hands of fate can transform an individual into the unwilling role as the star of the viral. If there is smart phone, there is the opportunity for cheap humor, even on the graceful stage of the local links.
