The Giant Whale In The Room- Proof That A Group In Society Has Lost Touch With Reality

August 5, 2018 By Conn Williamson

The Killer Whale exists as an icon for the Pacific Northwest with its legacy intertwining with Native American legend and folklore, and the resident pods migrating throughout the inland waterways, apparent and effulgent with the trademark white eye white spot, contrasting the powerful sleek jet black 747 shaped body of nature’s ultimate killing machine.

Some locals even possess a deep-set affinity for the usually docile apex predator of the marine habitat, which at times borders on an unhealthy fixation and a temporary recalibration of reality fueled by an extremist panic attack of a doomsday scenario and accompanied by a fervid rain dance in a haze of Surrey Acid Panther cannabis second hand smoke.

Just how disjointed and unhinged have climate alarmists become in the wake of the latest environmental news from Puget Sound and the chilly waters of backwards priorities? The Seattle Times shares the almost comically pathetic overraction of readers to a female Orca losing an infant calf to the inevitable fate that as life can be cruel, so is the ebb and flow of the natural world where circumstance is beyond the control the individual or intelligent mammal. Warning- Reading some of the “comments” may cause temporary blindness or spark a singing outburst from the theme to “Cats”  and visions from the director’s cut of “Free Willy” and the six-ton Keiko feverishly dining on a five-pack of Greenpeace activists lovingly plucked from an inflatable raft.

In a testament to all left-leaning news organizations, the Times is using the unfortunate narrative of a mother killer whale, who literally will not let go of the calf’s body, to shove the entire incredulous environmental playbook down the throat of the audience, and the bitter taste of reckless ideology is only fanning the flames of discontent burning and stinging within the region, as crucial societal take second fiddle to Disney drama saga. Orcas can and will adapt to changing food sources, as they have done for millions of years.

While the deleterious actions of the state’s Department of Housing Services are worse than ineffectual in tearing apart the idea of family, and the homeless situation in Seattle has reached a threshold of providing a $100 million solution for the city council in maintaining a lucrative pension fund, residents breath a huge Stalin-like collective sigh of relief, as the local oceanic research community is scrambling to assemble a task force to investigate the sudden and ostensible Killer Whale crises.

The rare air at the entitled heights of the intersection between indoctrination and insanity is quite possible tainted with idealism, as a herd of unique individuals are more consumed with a wild animal, than with a stream of drug needles and garbage carelessly strewn on the sidewalks of the once livable Seattle neighborhoods in front of derelict vans that should be parked “down by the river”. As the hypocrisy melts in the late Summer sun and bonds aromatically with the putrid vagrant stench of incompetence and neglect, what chance to productive and reasonable residents have in the ongoing experiment of a runaway bureaucratic train of nanny state.

Who knows, maybe the miniscule plankton of the world’s oceans actually rule the hierarchy of man and beast, and this thing we call civilization is the bottom rung of the evolutionary ladder? The crazy notion is far more sane than humanizing an Orca. Oh wait, dogs actually have more rights in Seattle than “privileged” individuals, an irony that is manifested from the fact that most canine owners are identify as “privileged”.  Someone buy me shot.
