Dumpling Defense And The Futility Of Anti-Gun Municipalities

May 26, 2025 By Conn Williamson

The riddle of the week sponsored by the People’s Republic of California includes various components in the absence of logic which includes; a San Francisco suburb barring firearms through passive aggressively/aggressive Medieval trials of indulgences, an Chinese-American attempting to empower a population that the liberal mainstream media describes as “marginalized”, and the general vitriol of suburban pet moms who embrace the musings of Nancy Pelosi and “The View” undermining the Constitution.

Restrictive anti-gun legislation under Governor Gavin Newsom’s iron clad legislative rule on citizens extends all the way to the municipal level, as localized politicians intoxicated by the quest for power parrot the daunting mandates proliferating from Sacramento with the fervor of blind tyrants.

The story informally titled “Dumplingate” begins and ends in Redwood City, California, a municipality located in the heart of Liberal tornado alley. The plot opens where a second generation immigrant attempting to open up a gun retail small business behind the borders of the city was ultimately prevented from obtaining a business license. The horror theme of injustice is a clear example that gun control activists will stop at nothing to criminalize law-abiding citizens and compromise commercial supply chains if it differs from their insufferable ideology. In blatantly pushing an agenda that violates the Second Amendment, commonsense in the Bay Area was once  again banished to a Chinese forced labor camp- Revisionism abound much to the chagrin of Stalin’s ghost in bordering Siberia.

The chilling narrative which began in three years is deplorable, incorrigible, and reprehensible, and clearly quantifies as diabolical. (Thank you to the AI girlfriend of S.H.A.W.N.A for the assistance with synonyms)

In 2022, the owner of Dumpling Defense applied for a business license to sell guns and ammo, and provide firearms training and self-defense courses in Redwood City, a Progressive suburb of San Francisco adjacent to Palo Alto, and Stanford University. The municipality is surrounded an angry sea of population sharing an allergy to firearms, and even whispering the word “gun” in the context of fundamental rights can result in a tasing.

According to an article in The Daily Journal, the city council originally placed a 45-day delay in granting Dumpling’s owner a license to operate legally within city limits. The city later extended the moratorium and tacked on an additional 10 months, allegedly providing the Council time to research an impact study on the potential “public health nightmare”, and anti-gun activists to assemble radicalized neighborhood task forces. The original literal holdup in awarding the license, of course, eventually grew to 10-months and clearly indicated egregious stall tactics of elected officials promoting gun control.

Posted on a Reddit social media platform thread, the Dumpling Firearms owner wrote that he was essentially attempting to fill a void in Redwood City, as no gun shops existed within city limits at the time that he submitted his application for the what became an elusive business license. In the Reddit post, he outlined his goal to focus on encouraging Asians and other minorities to practice legal self-defense, the proposed business model supporting a burgeoning marketplace of population demographics applying for firearms permits in record numbers. He clarified that his shop was an open door to serve the firearm’s needs of all races, a point allegedly lost on the city council.

Unfortunately, the entrepreneurial spirit of the project was eventually forced into oblivion due to the costs of attempting to fight the fight, as the business owner chose to abandon the venture, a nearly impossible challenge faced by firearm industry business entrepreneurs in anti-gun Blue states. Fortunately, the owner had previously run another gun retail venture, and the prospects are high that he will whether the storm of bureaucratic totalitarianism.

Various sources report that Newsom and his minions are working on new slogan for the stifling California government, something along the lines of, “Embrace Hypocrisy by Normalizing Insanity”. Redwood City residents choosing to own a firearm may have a long drive ahead of them in purchasing a gun, as the journey is at least half the fun.
