According to authorities a 53-year-old man wielding a butcher knife entered the gas station’s retail section and demanded cash from the clerk. The man was able to subdue the employee and the pair began walking towards the front door. Insert into the situation, hero Charles Russell.
Russell arrived at the location in his car amid the struggle and decided to take matters into his own hands.
Russell managed to fatally shoot the alleged robber and spare the clerk from any further harm. However, for some unknown reason, prosecutors are currently deliberating whether or not the shooting was justified.
