Breaking: Popular Blog ‘No Lawyers, Only Guns..’ Locked; Appeal Filed

Veteran gun rights blogger John Richardson’s “No Lawyers, Only Guns and Money” blog was locked Wednesday by Blogger for allegedly “promoting or selling ‘regulated’ item.”

Richardson told Liberty Park Press via private email that he immediately appealed. Wednesday morning, he posted this message at a popular Facebook site “Friends Who Went to Gun Rights Policy Conference”:

“If you can’t find my blog No Lawyers- Only Guns and Money it is because it has been locked by Blogger for supposedly violating Terms of Service. Given I don’t post any adult content, I don’t ‘exploit children’, I don’t have ‘hate speech’, crude content, post gratuitous violence, terrorist content, violate copyright, etc., I am not sure what has happened. I have appealed the moment I found out.”

Richardson’s blog has been a magnet for Second Amendment activists since it went online more than nine years ago, in May 2010. He picked the title as a “play on” the Warren Zevon song, “Send Lawyers, Guns and Money.”

A financial services specialist, Richardson says the blog “was my way of giving back to the gun rights community.”

“I never did it for fun or profit,” he explained, “and what little have made I donated to (the Second Amendment Foundation).”

Richardson said the blog has had more than two million visitors and over five million page views.

The veteran blogger was stunned, having been tipped off to the lock by an acquaintance early Wednesday.

“The only thing I have remotely close (to an ad) is a banner ad for Luckygunner.com,” he said. “So either this is an attack by the anti-gunners or that banner ad was the pretext.”

While Richardson is fighting this lockout, archives of his columns may be found here.

Liberty Park Press is following this story and will report any developments.
