Politics And Virtual Reality- A Partnership Of Big-Tech and Voter Delusion

November 5, 2024 By Conn Williamson

The reconfiguration of the hive mind, rendered through an enthralling symphonic mind-dulling crescendo, morphs the mainstream perception of reality to an unrecognizable gelatinous and gullible mass adverse to original thought.

Militant groupthink dominates and defines social norms, as the basic framework of the synapses of the mind are victims to rewiring through the incessant interaction with digital minions and ultimately captors, as the Stockholm Syndrome welcomes in the new era of social media influencers driven by the adherence to “me”, a term corrupted and redefined by the potential repercussions of ostracization, and the lizard-brain primal fear of solidarity equating to a swift and painful death if isolated from the group.

This current and unsettling trajectory of an adverse reaction to individualism emanating from the masses not only impacts negatively popular culture, but attracts the predators of insidious political actors weaponized through funding originating from dissident government.

The common theme with the modern election vicious cycle of impassioned misinformation eliciting a reactionary response from undecided voters is the toxic combination of human and bot editors prevalent on social media platforms. The presence of indoctrinated workers and software emulations posting incredulous data, only exacerbates accountability surrounding elections, as the mail-in ballots have corrupted a traditional and proven process geared towards accuracy in deciding the winning candidate on either side of the political ledger.

If 2020 was the Chinese astrological year of TikTok, 2024 has devolved into a chaotic electronic haze of artificial intelligence and sentient handlers of the innovative, yet unregulated technology. The mainstream social networking sites are no longer overwhelmed by the Albanian, Chinese, North Korean, and Russian hacks, but the machine learning algorithms of the next-gun militant apps are making it nearly impossible to differentiate a cohesive code construct from the imperfections and random qualities of homo sapiens. With demand for universal Turing tests rivaling the hysteria of securing Covid-19 tests during the height of the pandemic, Silicon Valley leadership is investing moderate sums of money to increase already prodigious fortunes by tinkering with election-specific propaganda. The hyper-spinning of fact and myth originates in “deep fakes” that are nearly impossible to discern from reality by the gullible and oblivious of smartphone junkies with necks buried in the softscreen sands like wallowing Ostriches.

According to an article in the BBC, digital influencers, or what could be swarms of bots, are receiving compensation on Elon Musk’s X domain to proliferate falsified content for the sake of generating revenue, posts that incorporate the bells and whistles of ingenuity and supplement coercion. The audacity of the corporatized press to isolate and ostracize the founder of the Tesla empire for apparent indiscretions in a failure to mention indiscretions spawned in the boardrooms of other social media platforms, is just a sidebar to the turbulent plot of one of the most pivotal elections in modern history.

With the paucity of critical thinking skills at a societal level, especially throughout the barren wastelands of the younger generation’s inability to establish a simple treatise accurately representing a viable model of accuracy, blatant mistruths are obscured by the vibrant and colorful pixilated displays of AI iterations that can no longer be contained within the weaponized vaults of electronic terrorists.

As facets of the free market collude with keyboard mercenaries that challenge the wavering integrity of modern elections, fluidic public perception is an extinction event for history and the steadfast framework of the future.

The dream state of machine learning applications available to the fingertips of humanity is merely a prelude to an unstainable nightmare incongruent to free will.
