Owning the “Seminoles” as its mascot along with one of the more forgettable band-led rally chants next to Southern Cal’s migraine-inducing “Fight On”, the Tallahassee based institution not only bucks the trend by not trading sensitivity and safe spaces for a new identity, but FSU’s oligarch President has vowed a full-scale nuclear salvo on sensibility.
According to Sunshine State News, John Thrasher, a former politician turned university bureaucrat, vehemently opposes campus carry, because he allegedly believes “that having more guns on campus does not make our campus safer.” Thrasher (a former Republican) is a know pest against pro-Second Amendment policy in Florida and cannot grasp the concept that “gun free zones” are a walking advertisement for violent criminals. Last year, state legislators failed in an attempt to advance a campus carry bill to the voters.
A man of many talents, Thrasher is also urging Trump not to overturn Obama’s pet legislation allowing the children of illegal immigrants to remain in the country to pursue academic or employment pathways.
