Successful Fundraising Events Nets Money For DPD Families

July 17, 2016 By Conn Williamson

dallaspd

For a brief period Thursday night, the community in Dallas reached a peaceful consensus as benevolent individuals were able to raise over $280,000 for the families of the slain Dallas Police Department officers.  The majority of the money came directly from proceeds generated through auction items, which included a $19,000 bid for dinner with Dallas Cowboy phenoms Troy Aikman, Darryl Johnston and Emmitt Smith.

A full cavalcade of celebrities were in attendance at the Dine For Dallas Blue event, including Aikman, Mark Cuban and Tony Romo.
