CNN- Where mistruths and sentiment collide to mock the First Amendment.
With a tendril of Pravda permanently affixed to a cavalcade of sources sharing secrets and half-truths from the espionage community, Ted Turner and Jane Fonda continue to sellout a nation and a population that gave them so much. The aforementioned Communist news network and ratings that are plummeting faster than the ukulele mullet phase of 1980’s buttrock tantalizing teens at the arcade, has resorted to extreme measures in a merciless final spasm of survival.
As fake news has morphed into staged news on a Hollywood influenced set of wishful narratives and dreams attacking decency, tradition, and truth, the overzealous newsroom directors in the lavish Manhattan network studio are resorting to utilizing retired veterans of the intelligence community in an ugly game of deflect and disrupt, reports Fox News. Equally troubling is the treasonous willingness of former spooks to whisper secrets amid the information mechanism spawning public dissemination, as their toxic motives defy the ideals of patriotism. Who needs the KGB, North Korean hackers, and social media bots, when rogue ex-CIA operatives are savagely crafting what equates to a perpetual disinformation campaign, and on the payroll of an imploding cable news network?
Stunning is not the correct terminology to describe the ongoing and self-aggrandizing cluster f*** that the presence of the volatile cocktail mixture of ego and idealism has on passing myth off as fact, as a majority of the american public is completely desensitized to the tiresome antics of what has become of the institution of journalism. With a plethora of credible and reliable options available through smaller fact checking organizations, the sophomoric and snarky environment of the news outlet dinosaurs is no longer palatable in an age where content is seemingly limitless.
With the propensity of CNN to compromise sensitive operations by releasing altered confidential information which may or may not parallel truth, at what point does the federal government and the broadcast regulatory arm of the FCC disincentive blatant indiscretions by imposing sanctions on Turner’s empire? The decision by the network to air information about an alleged classified ops bringing a Russian spy stateside and clerical blunders of the CIA under Trumps leadership caps off a forgettable and controversial run, which includes the lovely display of humanity and ethics by news anchors in wrongfully accusing Duke University lacrosse players of rape before the trial even began, and failing to broadcast a public apology or retraction in the wake of the criminal actions of the district attorney.
Thanks to the balancing forces of the universe and the savvy of contemporary viewers, the putrid audience numbers remain at the bottom of the barrel, which include an abysmal showing in a lame indoctrination attempt to piggyback on the green movement/climate change bandwagon. However, the loss of revenue and the trimming of staff does not excuse the cardinal sin and deplorable tyranny of disingenuously exposing the world of tunnels and shadows that is meant to exist within the darkness of ambiguity, but with a specific purpose.
The underlying problem with the CNN disdain for truth is that a proportion of people actually believe the spoon fed nonsense, and the unpalatable noise proliferated online and in real life undermines productive and enlightening debate. But this is exactly what Turner wants to complete a delusional legacy of success in gradually knocking society back to the stone ages. Speaking of dinosaurs…
