The California Monetizing Drought

December 14, 2023 By Kennedy Guse

The schism between residents in Northern California and the Southern gentrified bordello hinterlands of the state has devolved into the pretentious, contentious and snidely toxic dismissals of former Nobel prize winners attending a late Spring afternoon cocktail party sipping Pinot Gris and baiting each other with bow ties, intellectual bravado, and a claim to the harlots at the periphery tables. The talent pool of former beauties leftovers from the orgiastic nature and insatiable lust of the tech realm pursuing youth.

Within both directional compartments of the state, residents are fleeing at record numbers, a majority of which are just learning of Governor Gavin Newsom’s elaborate maskless wine dinner at a prominent Italian restaurant during the height of the legendary restrictive recommendations and lockdowns, a testament to the reality and flow of information that is contingent on the competency and ethics of the messenger. As the corporatized press has continually shown in the early stages of the Information Age, the absence of reliability and objectivity are a direct correlation to maliciously unaccountable, as the books of truth are left unbalanced.

With reconciliation as a remote possibility as alter egos defining the ebb and flow of AI and deep fakes qualifying as legal identification documents, the collective sum of California and the rest of the nation braces the next harrowing chapter in the game of ideological roulette. Of course the target is autonomy and bountiful coercion.

In order to appease his annual billion dollar source of cash flow, Newsom has secured funding for constructing a 45-mile long subterranean tunnel which will allegedly quench the thirst of residents in the Southern part of the state, who are parched not from a lack of the resources of Mother nature, but from the propensity of government bureaucracy to control the literal flow of water through policy. The People’s Republic of California has been infamous for awarding so called “water rights” to countless residents and farmers, while failing to recognize the subtleties of the hydro-cycle, in replenishing resources through the organic progression of rain events and snowpack, and the ignorance to reality remains bereft of bliss as government directives supersede sensibility.

Unfortunately and disturbingly, Newsom and cronies are indifferent to common sense and applicable knowledge, a flawed thought experiment trajectory that equates to cognitive dissonance in costing residents billions of dollars due to losses on both a financial and resources front. While the state is still atoning for the debacle that resulted in the Salton sea, as the engineers attempting to divert irrigation water from the Colorado River ultimately facilitated an environmental disaster of epic proportions in the early 20th century, the indifference is palpable in defining the current future shock nightmare of the oblivion.

It is estimated by hydrologists that billions of gallons of rainwater are wasted as runoff into the Pacific Ocean annually.  Combine this with the current snowpack on the Sierra Nevada mountain range, and the blatant inability to recognize and process resources borders on the egregious. Even most five-year old children are able to recognize the more empty cups one places outside during a downpour, the chance of capturing water increases exponentially, a simple lesson that certain career politicians are oblivious to. Adhering to reason and science is only practiced by both extremes if it serves an ulterior motive.

While Newsom and lackeys are quite aware of the the short-term ramifications of their current scheme, of course derived from the days of the Covid lockdowns, the inability to recognize opportunities to irrigate crucial agricultural ventures within the state comes with a price-tag. The simple solution is to construct multiple reservoirs in growing water resources, and with the residual benefits of beneficial environmental engineering. However, the ominous channels of campaign finance are not conducive to this infrastructure, and thus there is an aversion to the residual goal for the common good.

In the wake of hosting a lucrative Italian dinner during the height of a pandemic for donors and lobbyists, Newsom and staff are overtly aware of the ingrained nature of government and bureaucracy, a quantifiable figure, if only aiding and abetting the subversive for the sake of political longevity, an egregious detrimental survival mechanism that transcends the basic values of hard work ingrained into the classic interpretation of the American Dream.

With the prevalence of ambivalence, 45 obtrusive miles at an initial cost of $16 billion will spur special interests, and when the project is still uncompleted after three decades at thrice the cost, at least the political framework will be oiled by tax-payer funded currency as the latest example of insanity, while radicals attempt to hijack the supply chain.
