Volquartsen Firearms Donates One-of-a-Kind Rifle for SAF Auction

August 30, 2024 By Dave Workman

Volquartsen Firearms has donated this one-of-a-kind rifle to the Second Amendment Foundation for a fund-raising auction.

The Second Amendment Foundation (SAF) has announced that Volquartsen Firearms has renewed their corporate partnership at the Silver level, and has generously built and donated a one-of-a-kind rifle to benefit SAF’s legal efforts.

The rifle will be auctioned through SAF’s GunBroker page starting today. Not only has Volquartsen renewed their partnership and donated a unique rifle, they also hosted SAF Executive Director Adam Kraut on a recent No Excuse to Miss podcast to discusses the process for Second Amendment litigation and pro-2A talking points.

“Our family has been involved in the firearms industry for 50 years. In that time, I don’t think any organization has done more to defend the Second Amendment than the Second Amendment Foundation,” said Volquartsen Firearms President Scott Volquartsen. “Their work requires incredible resources, and for businesses like ours to continue, we must do what we can to support their efforts.”

Like SAF, Volquartsen was founded in 1974 and has since built a legacy of heirloom quality. Volquartsen recognizes that “handcrafted” doesn’t always mean “well-crafted,” and that “Made in the USA” doesn’t always equate to quality. That’s why the company’s unique rifles are designed and engineered to the highest standards in Carroll, Iowa, using only the best possible materials and technologies.

Built in that same Iowa facility, Volquartsen designed a one-of-a-kind rifle to support SAF’s 50th anniversary and fundraising efforts. The Superlite .22 LR configuration features a Type III hard anodized aluminum receiver with a 20 MOA Picatinny rail and lightweight carbon fiber tensioned barrel with laser-hardened breech face. Topped with a Leupold VX-3HD 4.5-14 x 40 CDS-ZL Wind-Plex in burnt bronze, the rifle prominently displays SAF’s 50th anniversary logo.

The rifle will be auctioned through SAF’s GunBroker page starting today, Aug. 29, at 8 a.m. EST and will end on Sept. 12 at 8 a.m. EST.

“We are grateful that Volquartsen recognizes the continued importance and value of our legal action and educational programs by choosing to renew their partnership,” Kraut said. “In addition to their renewal, Volquartsen has generously donated a one-of-a-kind rifle to further support our fundraising efforts allowing SAF to advance its mission — one that Scott and his team believe deeply in. Thanks to great partners like Volquartsen, SAF is able to focus on securing, defending, and restoring the Second Amendment for all to exercise.”
