The notion is crystal clear, if one is white, conservative, and formulates an opinion about Martin Luther King, they are undeniably racist, or at least ignorantly prejudiced.
Have a look at this well-written, but extremely biased oped, and platform for a race-baiting rant against the entire firearms community, where the writer even manages to capture the entire perverted framework of the George Soros systemic attack on reason and freedom. (I would love to buy the writer a beer and talk about the world, but I am afraid I would not be able to get a word in.) Of course, the subject of the “right” bashing is the polarizing Dana Loesch, in the wake of the NRA spokesperson’s heartfelt commentary regarding MLK. (The author is female, and I guess the fact that Loesch is a successful and powerful woman in a large industry means jack squat?) The following thought sums up the entire arrogant and scolding tone of the piece, in stigmatizing a political ideology and race.
Loesch’s message, delivered on the anniversary of MLK’s assassination at the hands of a white gun owner, was remarkable, given her own rhetoric.
So, voicing a differing opinion is now akin to bigotry? (Does the author know that Loesch at one time worked on Bill Clinton’s reelection campaign?) That is exactly the agenda that the leftists, excuse me, the extremists are pushing in creating divisiveness, and prospering off the vast cottage industry of contrived hate. Unfortunately, the prevalence of the “thought police” is so ingrained in society, that members of the younger generations are choosing silence over debate, in repressing the idea of publicly articulating a personal perspective. What rare and precious open dialogue that still exists is threatened by effective communicators, going well beyond the confines of the First Amendment, in finger pointing and demonizing any contrary point of view.
While the context of the article is slightly disturbing, it also provides a pristine example of the playbook utilized in attempting to reengineer society. “Something something something all conservatives admonish Black Lives Matter.” “Something something something, Dr. King made all white people uncomfortable, even though we are failing to acknowledge that that most reasonable white people embrace King’s efforts in promoting equal justice for all, and not just the black people.” “Something something something, the NRA is a terrorist organization that strives to exclude the black community. “Something something something, LPP is ignorant for using “black” as an identifying term, but it is okay that I use “white”, throughout an article that leaves no hope for open discussion in regards to Loesch’s commentary.”
At least “they” (extremists of all races) still allow laughter, though it is certainly not generated in sleep walking through the latest episode of Saturday Night Love, which used to actually be funny in dolling out equal opportunity roasting.
