“The Most Dangerous Place On The Planet”
A new report found that Venezuelan citizens viewed their country as the “most dangerous place on the planet,” with residents fearing violence, theft, and food shortages as the socialist nation continues to spiral out of control.
Venezuela ranked as the most dangerous country in the world for the second straight year according to a new Gallup survey, coming in below the war-torn nations of Afghanistan and South Sudan in terms of citizens perceptions of security.
The survey revealed that 42% of Venezuelans have had property or money stolen in 2017, and nearly 25% of Venezuelans had been assaulted, one of the highest assault rates in the world according to the survey.
“So, in perspective, if you think Mexico is dangerous, parts of Venezuela are almost 10 times more dangerous than Mexico.”
According to the Miami Herald, a new survey from the 2018 Global Law and Order Index found that Venezuelans largely felt unsafe on public streets, had little confidence in local or federal law enforcement, and had been assaulted at a stunning rate.
The Gallup report also gave Venezuela a “law and order” score or 44, ranking last among every other nation on the planet.
“While Afghans were more likely than Venezuelans to have been the victims of theft, Venezuelans were less likely to have confidence in their local police and were more likely to have been assaulted,” said the survey.
